I'm Afraid That with Daniel Zomparelli

I don’t know about you but I love a good podcast! Just as recent as last year I dived into the world of podcasts and never turned back.

I love hearing about how other people view the world, listening to the opinions of others and in turn considering how I feel about certain matters. Imagine me, in my car on the way to job #3 listening to people I don’t really know and verbally responding back. Yep, that’s pretty much how it goes!

Basically, I’m a fan. I never could have imagined being invited to be a guest, let alone a “resident expert”, on anyone’s podcast! But here we are and here I am, writing about my experience as a Resident Expert for the I’m Afraid That Podcast.

The I’m Afraid That Podcast premiered in October of this year (2018). Daniel Zomparelli hosts this 8-episode series, speaking with comedians, artists, and writers about their fears. Guests include Jenny Slate, Gabe Liedman, John Early, Lisa Dye, Andrew Ti, Our Lady J, Ali Liebegott, and Jordan Peele.

Okay, so at this point if my name-dropping didn’t make your palms sweat, you’re just not real. Trust me, you’re gonna want to tune in.

Anywho, Daniel spoke with Ali Liebegott, who has a fear of exercise and exhaustion. This is where I came in, to provide insight and tips from the view point of a fitness professional. Well, I did my best lol.

What was amazing to me was how much I have in common with Ali. I too dread being exhausted and low-key get offended when people extend to me night-time activity invitations because SLEEP. Lately I’ve been doing this thing where I’ll try to convince myself that sleep is for the weak. But who am I kidding? Resting is my favorite past time.

The podcast is super interesting and I would recommend it to anyone, but especially those who can relate to any of the guests on the show (to me this means EVERYONE). Again, there are 8 total episodes for this season and you can find me chatting up the place during the 7th episode.

I want to thank Daniel and the Little Everywhere team for inviting me to give my bit and for providing me my first experience as a podcast guest! You can subscribe on iTunes, PodBean and Stitcher.
